Meet Single Pass technology – a digital alternative to traditional marking methods. It eliminates the limitations of silk-screening, pad printing and flexography (especially for small runs and high product turnover) by integrating printing directly into the production line.
Single-pass printer is a modern solution that eliminates the limitations of traditional methods and allows for fast, efficient and high-quality printing on a variety of materials. Single-pass printing technology makes it possible to print an entire page in a single pass, which significantly increases speed compared to traditional methods.
Single-pass printers are more efficient because they can complete print jobs in a single pass, rather than requiring multiple passes for different colors.

At IMAGO, we design and implement complete, compliant industrial printing processes. Our philosophy is based on a deep understanding of production challenges and a partnership based on measurable results. In the production process, precise positioning and the automatic passage of the product through the successive phases of the printing process are crucial to ensure reproducibility and high quality results. What is important here is the interdependencies between the various stages of the process, which affect the efficiency and reliability of the entire system.
Advantages of this technology include speed, efficiency, flexibility and ease of use, making it an ideal choice for modern businesses. The OnePass printer can completely replace traditional art processes such as screen printing and offset printing, offering modern and more efficient solutions. OnePass printers are designed for mass production on assembly lines, making them an excellent choice for industry.
Full control over design, production and service. Support directly from the design engineers who designed and built the machine.
Confirmation of the highest standards of quality management.
Direct access to the head manufacturer’s knowledge and support through cooperating R&D departments
Guaranteeing solutions to complex manufacturing challenges, not just equipment delivery.
Warehousing multiple variants, supply management, risk of peeling, lack of personalization, additional waste and line downtime for application are all costs that are often not directly visible in the price of the label. Traditional solutions do not respond to individual customer needs, making it difficult to effectively match the product to market expectations.
Long preparation, screen washing, cost of dies and pads. Every design change or short promotional run is a technological penalty that kills profit and delays product launch (time-to-market).
Modern technologies, such as LED UV plotters, enable much faster printing speeds and higher printing rates compared to traditional methods, resulting in more efficient and productive output.
This makes it easy to meet increased demand for advertising and a variety of paper types and surfaces, such as wood, plastic or metal, while avoiding costly downtime and data loss associated with the production process.
Dependence on subcontractors’ schedules, inability to implement changes quickly, and risks in the supply chain. On-demand personalization is virtually impossible, making it difficult to implement personalized and customized production, and preventing rapid adaptation to changing market needs.
Single Pass technology is a fundamental change in manufacturing philosophy. Instead of adding marking as a separate, often problematic step, we integrate it into the existing flow. Single Pass printers support the width of materials up to specific specifications, and allow automatic print height adjustment to precisely match different types of packaging, paper bags, boxes, cases or even pizza boxes.
How does it work? The product (e.g., an appliance panel, glass flare, automotive component, corrugated packaging) moves on a conveyor under a stationary bar of print heads. The process uses inkjet printing technologies, which are widely used in the packaging industry and allow printing on various types of paper, such as corrugated cardboard, kraft paper and paper bags. To start the next printing step, the product must pass through a sensor or print head, which initiates the process of applying the image, text and content.
The OnePass printer uses photoelectric positioning to ensure the exact printing position of each item. In one continuous pass, all colors are applied, including white, primer and varnish, with precise color reproduction. The ink is immediately cured, and the product leaves the printing zone ready for packaging or assembly. There’s no need for plates, allowing for the quick completion of multiple printing jobs simultaneously and the flexibility to change print content in real time, ensuring high quality printed content. The OnePass inkjet printer can print corrugated cardboard, Kraft paper, tissue-free fabric and other types of paper.
The technology is widely used in personalized and customized production of packaging, paper bags, boxes, pizza boxes and advertising materials. It responds to market needs for flexibility, personalization and on-demand production. Single Pass printers are widely used in various industries, both in Poland and China, and the equipment comes from our factory. The OnePass printer can be used to print food packaging, pharmaceutical packaging and bottle labels.
OnePass printer is designed for mass production on assembly lines. We offer comprehensive services, detailed information and quotation are provided upon request.
Stable, easy to plan throughput (OEE)
Radical reduction in cycle time (TCT) and reduction in work-in-progress (WIP) inventory.
Cost-effective short runs and personalization, because the cost and changeover time (CTO) is close to zero. No matter what you want to print, the technology allows for quick turnaround.
Adhesion and resistance superior to traditional methods.
Higher speed, higher productivity, lower production cost One of the key advantages of pass-through printers over traditional printers is higher speed, higher productivity and lower production cost. Thanks to the unique printing mode, in which the print head remains stationary and only the material (media) moves, the process is much more efficient and allows for faster turnaround on different materials.
The device allows printing on a wide range of media, and the printing process is optimized for industrial applications. This makes printing on cardboard, paper, plastic or metal fast, precise and economical, and the device will work well for both mass production and personalization of gadgets.
Single-pass printers take up less space than laser printers, making them a more practical solution in limited production spaces. However, it is worth noting that printouts from single-pass printers may be less durable and fade over time. In summary, the advantages of pass-through printers are mainly speed, efficiency, high print quality and flexibility and ease of use.
The single-pass printer is the ideal choice for mass production, gadget production and printing on cardboard, cardboard, paper, paper bags, envelopes, napkins, plastic, metal, cardboard packaging, etc.
The single-pass printers use a unique printing mode in which the print head remains stationary and only the material moves, enabling unattended operation, integration with automated production lines, and delivering high-quality print results for vibrant colors. Their design allows for efficient and hassle-free operation, and the printheads have long life and precision, making these devices an efficient solution for short runs, quick orders and mass production, without the need for plates or component replacement between print runs.
Note, however, that the inks in single-pass printers can dry up if the device is not used regularly.
Anyone can integrate a head into a transporter. We create an entire ecosystem from the ground up that gives you a real process, financial and technological advantage.
We speak your language. Our R&D and manufacturing departments operate on Scrum and Kanban systems. We design systems according to SMED principles to dramatically reduce changeover times. Every interface and process is created with the operator in mind – it’s meant to be logical, safe and intuitive. Your benefit: Lower operating costs, fewer human errors and higher overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
The market and technology are changing rapidly. That’s why our Single Pass systems are modular architecture platforms. Instead of costly replacement of the entire machine in a few years, you upgrade key components – heads, software, electronics.
