Proof Lab IMAGO is a digital printing and color management test lab. We check the adhesion, quality and repeatability of the print on your products – free of charge when the goal is to select a device.
Most of the technological objections in the process of buying an industrial printer can be solved in one way – with a test on your material, under controlled conditions.
Proof Lab is IMAGO Printer‘s digital printing and color management testing laboratory, operating in Warsaw since 2023. We test prints on materials entrusted by customers – from adhesion and chemical resistance, through color stability (ICC profiles, ΔE), to mechanical durability and UV exposure. Proof Lab cooperates with INKnovation Lab (a chemical laboratory in Lublin) – together we cover the entire path from ink formulation to print validation on a specific application.
We verify the durability of the ink-substrate bond using rigorous cross-cut grid testing.
We test the print’s response to solvents, alcohols and mechanical friction, ensuring reliability in the industry.
We study color repeatability and build dedicated ICC profiles, analyzing the smallest spectrophotometric deviations.
We choose the right spectrum and power of UV light so that the polymerization of the ink is optimal on any type of material.
We validate the effectiveness of primers, plasma and corona for difficult substrates by lowering surface tension.
We perform tension and bend tests to ensure that the paint works with flexible materials without cracking.
Optimize your manufacturing process with reliable laboratory testing. We’ll guide you through the entire technology verification process – from analyzing physical samples of your product to providing an accurate TCO report that will help you make a safe and cost-effective investment decision.
Send samples of your product by courier to the lab’s address. The minimum is the material/product itself, a graphic file (or printing guidelines), and information on adhesion requirements.
We select printing parameters, presets, primers and UV profiles. We test adhesion, resistance and color quality directly on your materials, reproducing production conditions.
You are invited to a detailed presentation of the test results. You will receive printed feedback samples and our expert recommendations for configuring the device for your application.
Based on the test results, we prepare a quotation with a full TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) estimate, a plan for integration into your process and selected print presets.
Confirmed tact on real materials. You know if the machine will maintain the required cycle at your DPI and print area.
Adhesion (cross-hatch) test reports, chemical/mechanical resistance, pre-treatment recommendations. Concrete data for technical decision.
Validation of ΔE, stability of whiteness, batch repeatability. Definition of Done criteria established and confirmed before purchase, not after.
Reduction of investment risk. Tests free of charge for device selection. CAPEX decision based on measurable results, not catalog promises.
Validation of ink adhesion on flexible carbon composites and extreme abrasion resistance under physical conditions.
Pigment durability under extreme temperature changes and UV resistance to prevent fading.
Use of dedicated activation for low-energy surface, stabilizing UV varnish without the risk of chipping when opening.
Developing a pre-treatment process that guarantees complete adhesion of CMYK colors directly on smooth metal.
Full color decor application on technical plastics. Precise fit and photographic quality on the smallest details.
The necessary minimum is enough – we will determine the rest of the details and parameters during the analysis at Proof Lab.
Minimum 30-50 pieces per variant. Remember that some samples are destroyed during extreme adhesion tests.
Printable design (we recommend vector PDF format with fonts converted to curves) or precise description of expectations.
Clear information on target requirements for ink adhesion and resistance to external factors.
Full-color decor, technical labeling, the desire to replace the label or the introduction of a new SKU.
Type of plastic, surface energy, information on pre-treatment used so far.
Permissible color deviations (ΔE), standards for chemical and mechanical resistance.
Information about the flatness of the detail, level differences or the orientation of the printing area in space.
Securely pack the materials and send the package by courier to our laboratory.

Do you have questions about technology differences, the implementation process or printing capabilities? We’ve compiled the most frequently asked questions to help you better understand how Sapphire differs from other equipment and how it can realistically support your production process.
If the goal is to select the right printing device – tests are free.
From 3 to 14 working days, depending on the complexity of the material and requirements.
You are invited to a presentation of test results. You receive feedback samples and full recommendations.
Plastics (PP, PE, ABS, PS, PMMA, PC), glass, metals (aluminum, steel), wood, HPL/MDF, ceramics, composites and many others. For low-energy surfaces, we use activation (plasma/corona) and primers.
Presentation of results, feedback samples, recommendations for device configuration. For dedicated projects (flow printers, single pass) – full report with TCO cost estimate and integration plan.
Proof Lab (Warsaw) tests printing on customer materials – parameter selection, ICC profiles, adhesion, resistance. INKnovation Lab (Lublin) is a chemistry lab – develops inks, primers and top coats. The two labs work together.
Proof Lab is one of the three pillars of IMAGO’s implementation risk mitigation – along with measurable acceptance criteria (Definition of Done) and formal FAT/SAT acceptance. Purchasing decisions are based on test data, not catalog promises.
Contact us and send material samples – we will test adhesion, color quality and print repeatability. Free of charge when the goal is to select a device.
No sales pressure or marketing jargon. We focus solely on your challenges and profitability.
We will immediately assess whether Sapphire can handle your specific material and tell you how to reduce changeover times.
We respect your time. Let's make a coffee (or virtual) appointment and get straight to the engineering specifics.
